The discussion about human nature from the point of view of his intrinsic good or evil has always been of interest in the West and since the Christian era. Different views on this issue by philosophers and thinkers have established different educational systems, each of which has its own obligations. The aim is to examine the evolution of these attitudes in the history of the West and its educational effects, especially in the two categories of play and authority. Since the correct education of a person depends on his correct and accurate knowledge, it is important to address this issue. This survey was done with descriptive-analytical qualitative method and document analysis type. There are three types of views about this; The pessimistic view that considers humans to be inherently evil; It is the optimistic point of view that considers man to be good by nature and the neutral point of view that believes that man is neither bad nor good by nature. Changing the view from impurity to purity and neutrality of human nature has followed the transformation of western education.
