The main purpose of this research was to investigate and identify the experiences of novice first grade teachers in Mahabad city regarding the challenges of teaching in the first year. The present research was carried out using a qualitative approach and a phenomenological method. The participants of this study are newly hired teachers of education, ten of them were selected using targeted and snowball methods. A semi-structured interview was used to collect data. The validity of the interviews was confirmed by the supervisor. In this research, the reliability of the qualitative method is controlled by preparing and using a written framework for the interview. This codified framework was used in all the interviews after the approval of the professors and ensuring its effectiveness in covering the objectives. Also, the method of Smith et al., which contains three types of theme coding, theme tag and theme cluster, was used for data analysis. Based on the interviews with novice first grade teachers of Mahabad city about the challenges of teaching in the first year, 22 theme clusters with titles 1- lack of supervision and guidance, 2- presence of inappropriate organizational behaviors, 3- inappropriate amount of learning resources, 4- presence of language problems and students' writing, 5- Psychological challenges of students, 6- Weakness in educational planning, 7- Challenges of students with behavioral disorders, 8- Deficiency in the link between school and family, 9- Inadequacy of students' behaviors with teachers' respectful attitudes, 10- Challenges in communication skills...
