The overall objective of the present study was to identify effective parental participation strategies in educational and cultural affairs of elementary schools. This study was conducted with a qualitative approach and thematic analysis method. The participants of the study included teachers and parents of students in elementary schools in Zarrinshahr in the academic year 1402-1403. The sample size (20 teachers and 10 parents) was determined by achieving theoretical saturation point. The sampling method was purposive of the criterion type. The data collection method was two methods: semi-structured interviews and taking notes from upstream sources, texts, and documents. Thematic analysis method according to Brown and Clark (2006) was used to analyze the data.
