Volume 1, Issue 74 (7-2025)
Abstract

Objective: The purpose of this study is to examine the level of attention paid to the components of children's rights in Persian textbook illustrations, and suggestions have been made to improve the illustrations.
Methodology: The approach of this qualitative research is content analysis.
Results: The first elementary Persian textbook, as the first source of access to literacy, thinking, and knowledge in children, plays an important role in developing the personality and political and social education of students as responsible, committed, and informed citizens in the future. Teaching students rights is the path to achieving this goal. Accordingly, the first elementary Persian textbook has paved the way for teaching rights in an illustrated form by including ten illustrations in the initial lessons. The right to family life, the right to equal value, the right to education, the right to freedom of expression, the right to play and leisure, the right to privacy, and the right to a healthy environment are among the rights that have been examined in the illustrations.
